Last week I was at a large factory outlet shopping centre, we are lucky to have two relatively close to home, though, I never find those places all that lucky, especially if you have a specific item in mind. Fortunately, I knew that what I wanted would be in stock.
What I didn't know, was that a particular large clothing brand here in Australia would be filming a television commercial that morning. From a distant observation, I don't think it is an enviable life to be an actor in television commercials, demeaning and brain dead may have been my initial impression.
Of course, the sight of a particular male contestant from a recent modelling show may have caused a little titillation throughout the immediate surrounds; me, on the other hand, well, I was not to be distracted from what was in my hot little hand.
I was enjoying a quiet browse, picking up things here and there, oohing and ahhing and then I came to a decision. I need to share.
From my enjoyable browsing, I picked up two notebooks and pens. Logically I thought that perhaps, two of you, would like to have one. Would you? One says Brain Storming on the front and the other Dreaming and Scheming, the inside pages are small grids and the books are about 6x8 inches in size.
If you would like one, leave a comment and I'll draw a random winner by the end of the week.
How cool is my new mug?!

ReplyDeleteYes, the mug is very cool, and I love the color. And yes, I would love to be the new owner of such a delightful notebook. One can never have too many attractive notebooks! Thanks for a chance.
ReplyDeleteoh that sounds like my sort of shop...tis probably a good thing that I don't have one down the road, the husband here would think! (does it have a website!)
ReplyDeleteAmy, you will have to take up drinking coffee or chai latte or something to enjoy that mug to its full potential!
Love the mug and the notebooks, and I would love to win one of them! :) One can never have too many notebooks, in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteThe sight of that classic penguin design always reminds me of my friend Lisa from Uni, who was an English student and had a very neat row of penguin classics on her desk. You are very generous with your give aways.
ReplyDeleteHope you are all hale and hearty and the job is going well.
Would I ever! Such a great mug - Penguin is a wonderfully classic design. Will it be reserved for tea only, in the best English tradition, or will it also double up for a coffee? Good luck as you begin another week in your new job!
ReplyDeleteoooh arrrr love those notebooks.... what a generous thought....
ReplyDeleteTry #2 to comment... I LOVE the Bronte sisters - read all of their books, multiple times, and did my senior thesis in college on their works. Loved Wuthering Heights the best.
ReplyDeleteI do love your mug! Although I love the movie versions of her stories better than the books in general - I'm sure that says something low brow about me! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, would love to win a journal, especially the Brain Storm one.
Rinda
Love the new mug but little notebooks with grid paper inside - perfect for scrapbook sketches x
ReplyDeleteGreat mug - mine would definately have tea in it! Love the titles of the notebooks - great for all sorts of jotting.
ReplyDeleteThat mug is so cool. I would like one of those, for sure! I hope you bought a spare, in case of accidents?
ReplyDeleteThe notebooks are lovely and it's very generous of you to offer them, but I do not need one, I really don't! The studio is overflowing and I have to get it straightened out; the less clutter, the better.
So, should you use a random number picker, to choose your winners, and should my number come up, please pass on the book to the commenter below me on the list!
Have a great week - I hope the job is going very well and that you have recovered fully from your lurgy!
I like your new mug very much indeed! I did Jane Eyre for my Eng Lit "O"Level many years ago and it has always been a favourite.
ReplyDeleteThe notebooks look lovely :)

ReplyDeleteOh my, what a wonderful thing it is to share!!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely enjoy the Brain Storming book - that was one of my favorite activities to get students thinking back when I was teaching middle school & high school!
Who wouldn't want such lovely notebooks?...very kind of you Amy...and I DO like the mug- though I have to admit to not particularly enjoying READING the 'classics'!
