It's New ...

When The Engineer was stuck in an airport for ten hours last week, he came home saying he had read that Australians are hard workers, but they need to get rid of balls. Give an Australian a ball, or show them a ball, and it's all over. Apparently we are far too preoccupied with sport. I'm rather partial to balls and have been enjoying the little fuzzy yellow ones recently.

All this brings me to a new sport that was recently developed, right here in Australia and by none other than the resident Five Year Old.

Unfortunately, The Five Year Old's mother doesn't have suitable equipment to be shooting photos of high speed manoeuvres and she missed several of the critical facial expressions ... but that was due to laughing rather than a lack of equipment!

If you care to drop by again on Friday I have some more activities to share and a book that I know many of you will be interested in having the chance to read ... now, back to those balls!

Love the facial expressions we do see and it obviously takes great skill to be able to take part in Scooter Ballet so well done to the Five Year Old :o) xx

I can only imagine how much the performance greatens as the size of the audience does :)

i was wondering where the engineers ball theory was going!;-)

similar hilarity may have occured here yesterday with hulu hooping, husband also attempted to hulu hoop which was greatly entertaining and led to much clutching of back and groaning...

The audience has to actively participate though Beverly, appropriate 'oohs' and 'ahhhs' are required ... talk about attention seeking!

The mental imagery of a grown burly farmer hula hooping is beyond belief Sharon!

Cheri, you will be one step ahead of everyone else at the next Olympics .. she is sure this will take off!

I agree with Cheri - definitely a potential Olympic event! DH and I used to say, it seems as if everyday Henry would come home and say, "Mom, I tried a new sport today. It's called (fill in the blank). And guess what? I'm good at it!"

Wonderful page, Amy - all the best bits of scrapbooking are here, with a great story, a unique moment, expressive photos and a stylish and simple design. Sigh!

..and a beautiful page

Great story - scooter ballet sounds like just the sport for my 7 year old. Also simling at the thought of Sian practising on her pink scooter.

This had me laughing! Love the poses and facial expressions. Executing both while on the move is an art indeed.
