Every now and then I feel heavy in the chest.
They are going to leave one day.
When they do; I hope they are filled with love, compassion, respect and generosity. I know they will have a sense of humour ...
Their year is finished, they are on holidays until February and I am very glad that I don't have to iron a uniform or pack a lunchbox until then.
You know what? I tried, really, I did. These are the best photos to show you, the ones where they are sort of clear and in focus ... sigh ....they really weren't up for it.
We are on holidays and I think it is about time to break out the decorations .....

As in enough children? Tough day here, so you can share mine ~ 6 months each, what do you say? Even though they are not looking their best, it's clear to see that they are gorgeous looking children.
Happy holidays to all of you.
These are adorable photos! Time for some good holiday fun while they are out of school - enjoy!
Oh no Ruth, I have enough children ... photos ... what if I don't have enough photos?
I wish I had been as into capturing the memories when the boys were very small but I still have plenty. What I wish was that my parents and I (when I was younger) had taken more. Your kids are so beautiful that the pictures are always a delight and as the mom of a 19 and a 23 year old I promise you'll cherish these more than the posed and perfect ones.
You have so many more photos than me,Amy....back in the pre-digital days they were taken sparingly.....and I so wish I had more.
These will make them smile when they are older.....and it may be even more difficult to find them 'up for it' in ten years time.....so make the most of it!!!
Have a wonderful 'holiday'.
Even if you don't have enough photos, you will have enough memories of these wonderful, lovely children!
Rinda
This is normal behaviour from little people.....I get photos just like that too.
I definitely don't have enough photos, but Rinda is right, I have plenty of memories, and we're still making them even though they're on their own.
Of course you will have enough, and you have them to hold and to talk to, and as they grow, like Karen says you make more memories. The present is what is important and yes they will leave you but if you let them go willingly they will always return. xx
Enjoy the moment (all the moments) and kepp taking pictures. Have the best of summer holidays
Oh, don't! I only have a year and a half until TTO leaves - and he is making his plans already
Have a wonderful summer break!
Enjoy your summer break!
I am sure you have enough photos and in just a blink there will be a new generation to focus on:)
I'm sure they will be filled with all those things, they've been brought up by such loving and caring parents :)
PS I love the photos, they're *real!*
Great photos
When you bring up a child in the way they should go that remains with them even through the difficult years.
